about

Part of the music in this album was originally made back in 2015 for a theater piece by the Footsbarn Traveling Theatre based on the book by Ken Kesey. It was all guitars and some percussion and flutes played live.
Right after the tour was over, I recorded some of it on my iPad in case I wanted to do something with it later.

When I decided to make an album a few years later, I asked bassist Pierre Barromes to do some basses, this set my imagination in motion and the music eventually became more elaborate.

I also gave it a very different approach since, after doing some research, I found the story of this peculiar bird much more interesting than the book.

This version here is a remix to which I have added some extra orchestration. I have also changed the cover for a painting made by Montse Rodriguez based on the original idea.

Want to travel for free without moving?
Put on your headphones, close your eyes or turn off the lights and allow yourself to get carried away on the journey of this peculiar bird-album.
